Rother Valley MP Alexander Stafford has today urged the government to highlight the potential that renewable technology has to reduce energy bills.
Alexander understands that many people in Rother Valley worry about their energy bills, especially at this time of year. Today the Rother Valley MP called for the government to demonstrate how the new renewable technologies will actually help to reduce energy bills rather than increase them.
As a former employee in the energy industry, Alexander is an advocate of renewables and knows first-hand the benefits that are on offer to Rother Valley’s residents through their usage.
Alexander has asked ministers if they will highlight the benefits of renewable technology in the upcoming COP26 to reduce the worries that people hold around the use of renewables to produce energy.
Commenting, Alexander Stafford MP said:
“Energy prices are a concern for many residents in Rother Valley and that is why I have urged the government to demonstrate the positive impact renewables can have on our prices.
“COP26 offers us the perfect opportunity to demonstrate that green energy can in fact help lower bills as well as lead us down a path to a greener, more sustainable energy industry.”
“Net Zero has the potential to greatly benefit the hard-working people of Rother Valley by reducing their bills and offering new jobs in greener, high quality and stable jobs. I will continue to press the government on this matter to ensure that no one has to worry about their energy bills.”
