- Today the Conservative Party Chairman and Cabinet Member, Amanda Milling backed Rother Valley MP Alexander Stafford’s campaign to secure £20 million in grant funding to rejuvenate local high streets.
- Amanda Milling MP met with leaders of the Dinnington Community Land Trust & Dinnington Town Council to discuss the government’s £4.8 billion Levelling Up Fund and voice her support for Alexander’s plans.
Today the Conservative Party Chairman and Cabinet Member, Amanda Milling MP, visited Dinnington high street to back local MP, Alexander Stafford, in his campaign to secure the £20 million in grant funding available for Rother Valley as part of the government’s £4.8 billion Levelling Up Fund.
Rother Valley MP Alexander Stafford is campaigning to encourage Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to submit a strong bid for this grant funding and, if successful, to use these funds to rejuvenate local high streets.
On her tour of Rother Valley, Amanda Milling MP met with David Dixon and David Johnston of the Dinnington Community Land Trust to discuss the Levelling Up Fund and the positive impact it could have in Rother Valley and its ability to deliver the Neighbourhood Plan. The community have been working on this for 3 years.
Amanda also visited Dinnington High Street and the surrounding areas to better understand the needs of local residents while supporting the Conservative candidates standing in the upcoming local elections.
