Dinnington is a small town located roughly in the centre of the Rother Valley constituency and has a population of just over 9,000 people. It is believed to have been founded in Neolithic times with a name meaning "Town of Dunn's People". Dinnington has a local theatre known as The Lyric, which originally opened in 1910 as a roller skating ring.
