ROTHER VALLEY MP ALEXANDER STAFFORD URGES MINISTER TO REAFFIRM GOVERNMENT COMMITMENT TO LEVELLING UP

Alexander Stafford MP has today urged the Minister for the Cabinet Office Michael Gove, to reaffirm that the Government will pursue a strong levelling up strategy in Rother Valley  

Rother Valley is an area that has often being left behind and has received little Government investment, but the Government committed to levelling up areas like Rother Valley and Alexander is keen to see that Coronavirus does not restrain this commitment.  

Commenting, Alexander Stafford MP said: 

I was elected to fight for left behind communities and to see our towns and villages realise their potential. The Coronavirus outbreak must not stump the levelling up strategy, and the Government’s recovery agenda must include efforts to bring equal opportunities to people and businesses in Rother Valley. I will continue to press the Government and ensure that they deliver on their promise to level up.
