- Residents in Thurcroft have been in touch with Alexander Stafford, MP for Rother Valley, to raise concern about dangerous parking near their homes
- Parking at industrial unit is obstructing footpaths and pavements, making school and other journeys unsafe
Alexander Stafford, local MP for Rother Valley, visited New Orchard Lane in Thurcroft to see for himself the issues experienced by residents as a result of dangerous and obstructive parking by drivers accessing the nearby industrial estate.
MP has written to the landlords to request a meeting to discuss the issue, the impact it is having upon residents and any mitigating steps which may be taken.
Commenting, Alexander said:
I can quite understand why residents are so concerned about this issue - the parking is unsafe and, in an area where so many families with young children live, this is unacceptable.
I have requested a meeting with the landlords at the estate and look forward to coming back with an update soon.
