- Local Rother Valley MP joined major housing provider, South Yorkshire Housing Association (SYHA) for a walkabout in Maltby, to discuss key housing issues and see housing stock in the town
Alexander Stafford, local Member of Parliament for Rother Valley, has today joined representatives and staff from SYHA for a walkabout in Chinatown, Maltby, to discuss housing stock in the town and borough, challenges around social housing locally and steps taken to increase energy efficiency for tenants.
Discussing the steps taken by SYHA to improve energy efficiency and save tenants money on energy bills, Alexander and SYHA visited a property that the company had retrofitted to make more energy efficient, warmer and contribute to a saving of over £300 each year for the tenant.

I find walkabouts incredibly helpful to get a handle on the issues that affect people across Rother Valley.
