Alexander Stafford MP has arranged a meeting with local transport executives from First Bus and South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive.
The meeting will be held on Friday 29th October 2021 at 10:00 in the Todwick Village Hall. Areas around Todwick and Kiveton have been vocal regarding bus services in their area, but this meeting is open to all that want to attend. Alexander is aware other areas have had problems, such as Swallownest and Maltby.
Alexander Stafford MP, said: “I would like as many residents as possible to attend. We need to get a full representation of people who are using public transport across Rother Valley, and improve services where people need them most”.
Alexander invites all residents to get in touch to register for a place at the public meeting that is set to be well attended. If you would like to register your interest, please email him for an invitation to, [email protected].
South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive have published communication that they will be reducing services from Saturday 30th October. Alexander believes that reduced services need to be in the right places, and not affect workers that use our early morning and late-night services, as these are equally important for local residents in local jobs.
