Plan for health
The Covid pandemic brought home the importance of having access to high-quality, local healthcare. I often assist constituents with their struggles to get the care they need, and believe that we must do more to make sure that we can all see a doctor or a dentist when we need to. The backlog caused by the pandemic has come down, but we can and must do more to make sure everyone gets the help they need.
- End the 8AM rush for doctor’s appointments – making sure that everyone can get medical help when they need it.
- All new housing plans in Rother Valley must include provisions for doctors’ or dentists’ surgery – ensuring that we have the infrastructure we need to keep up with growing population.
- Better access to dentists for children – keeping young people healthy and happy includes their healthcare requirements, and making it easier than ever to see a dentist will go a long way to ensuring this.
- Supporting our amazing local healthcare providers – channelling their needs directly to Government so that we can solve the backlog faster.
