ALEXANDER STAFFORD MP TELLS PARLIAMENT THAT ROTHERHAM COUNCIL MUST LEVEL UP ALL OF ROTHER VALLEY

Earlier this week, I raised my campaign to get RMBC to put in a strong Levelling Up Fund bid for Rother Valley high streets.

Whilst I am pleased a bid has gone in for Dinnington, I was disappointed that RMBC did not expand this to our other high streets such as Maltby, Swallownest and Thurcroft.

I asked the Secretary of State, Robert Jenrick, (who has previously visited our high streets) to keep putting pressure on Rotherham Council so that ALL our high streets can be improved. He confirmed that we “require councils such as Rotherham to step up” and work to improve our high streets.
