- Alexander Stafford, local MP for Rother Valley, held a street surgery in rainy Thurcroft today, speaking to local residents about matters of concern
- Constituents stopped by the community bench despite the rain for a catch up and to raise important issues
Alexander Stafford, local MP for Rother Valley, relaunched his Street Surgery series today now that restrictions allow, pitching up outside the community bench in Thurcroft to speak to residents about their issues.
Despite the rainy weather, a number of residents dropped by with their umbrellas for a chat about a wide range of issues including blue badges, coronavirus, parish councils and the bible.
Commenting, Alexander said:
My street surgeries are a fantastic way for me to be available to my constituents for a chat as they do their shopping and really allow me to get to the heart of what matters in the towns and villages throughout Rother Valley.
They had to be paused due to coronavirus restrictions, but I am delighted to be able to start them again and look forward to visiting more areas in the coming months. If you would like me to hold a street surgery in your area, please do get in touch.
Residents who wish to request a street surgery in their area should please email Alexander at [email protected].
