Alexander Stafford, MP for Rother Valley, has today written to the trustees of the recreation ground charity and directors of the social club to request a meeting.
Alexander is keen to discuss residents' concerns over the running of the social club and recreation ground following a constructive call with local members of the Maltby Miners Welfare & Recreation Protection Group.
The Protection Group have discussed with Alexander the importance of how the recreation ground and the social club support one another and also expressed their concerns over the future of the recreation ground.
Alexander hopes to speak to the trustees and directors to discuss these issues and get an understanding of what steps would be necessary to secure the future of the ground, so that the community enjoys the benefits of the ground.

“The recreation ground is absolutely crucial as it supports the social club and ensures that the community have access to such facilities.
