Alexander caught up with local fundraising hero and Thurcroft legend Sandra Blockley MBE. Amazingly Sandra achieved last year’s fundraising goal of £50,000 for dementia cafes. 
Sandra is passionate about dementia cafes. From her own experiences she has seen how these cafes - with the singing and dancing - benefit those suffering from this terrible disease. Not forgetting the carers and loved ones who get the support of being around others going through the same challenges.
There are four dementia cafes each month - Thurcroft, Maltby, Dalton and Wath.

Alexander thanked Sandra for everything she continues to do to support this important work. Although Sandra officially retired from the charity shop last month, she was still there helping!
